About Perceptle.app

Why it exists

Perceptle.app started from a simple wish: a two-minute daily game that tests how well you perceive rather than what you know. No trivia, no vocabulary — just your eyes, your timing and your intuition for space, measured fairly and turned into a score you can share.

How the daily puzzles are made

Each puzzle is generated on your own device from the date, using a fixed random seed per test. That means everybody in the world gets exactly the same dots, arcs, angles, beats and lines on the same day, with no download and no server round-trip. Once a day has been published its puzzle never changes, so old results always stay meaningful.

Fair on every screen

Every test is drawn on a square board measured in its own units, not in pixels. A phone held upright, a rotated tablet and a wide monitor all see the same puzzle at different sizes, and your error is measured relative to the board, so no screen has an advantage. Tempo measures the delay of your speaker and touchscreen from your first taps and removes it.

Independence and credit

Perceptle.app is an independent project. It follows the five-test format of the original Perceptle at perceptle.com, whose idea deserves the credit, but it is not affiliated with or endorsed by its creator. All code, puzzles, artwork and text on this site were made for Perceptle.app.
